A festive knitting workshop for complete beginners and anyone returning to knitting after a break
Get into the festive spirit and learn to knit your own colourful Christmas decorations!
In this relaxed, friendly three-hour workshop, we’ll cover the basics of knitting while making a start on a beautiful knitted version of traditional paper chains. They’re a lovely way to decorate your home for Christmas and can be brought out year after year.
Perfect for complete beginners and anyone returning to knitting after a break, this workshop will introduce or refresh essential skills, including casting on, the knit stitch and casting off. You’ll have plenty of time to practise, ask questions and build your confidence as you begin making your first knitted chain links.
You’ll take home everything you need to continue your project, including knitting needles and enough beautifully soft, GOTS-certified organic merino wool to make a festive paper chain approximately 1.2 metres long. You’ll also have access to our beginner knitting videos after the workshop, so you can revisit the techniques whenever you need a reminder.
