If you are looking for a yarn with above average eco credentials then anything containing Lyocell/Tencel is a good place to start. Made from plant based/wood pulp fibre, it has much less negative production impact than many other plant based yarns.

Morning Salutation is a delight to work with. The lyocell gives the yarn a lovely sheen and the cotton gives structure. Perfect for summer garments and accessories but would be a great alternative to our popular pure cottons for crochet blankets etc.

Morning Salutation combines fine cotton with TENCEL TM, a Lyocell fiber, that is produced from sustainable wood, which originates from certified and controlled sources. Morning Salutation has cooling and moisture managing properties and is therefore anti bacterial and thus perfectly suitable also for babies. The silky shine, the even structure and the intense colors make every pattern stand out brightly. The yarn is kind of heavy, which makes it nicely draped.

N.B.: Large garments may become a bit longer after washing and wear. 

TENCEL TM is famous for its closed cycle production process where all process water is re-used by 99%.
